Excellent progress has been made on adding a roof from the container to over the shooting benches. Just the roofing panels need to be added. This is a brilliant addition and will make the club so much more usable in the winter months.

Anyone still needing to shoot the August pistol targets only have next weekend to get them shot and in the folder.

See the calendar for the new season of dates for HRS and Winter league. The teams are up on the notice board in the club container. This year the Winter league is planning on only having one session per shoot but that is subject to finalisation.

For all you pistol shooters and those who just want a bit of fun, Paul is organising a pistol competition. Open to .177 sub 6flbs pistols, you may be able to borrow one to shoot your cards.

We need a minimum of 5 shooters to make it worthwhile so get your name down on the list at the club as soon as possible.

The postponed HFT at Newbury is now going to be on Sunday the 14th April. Setup as usual on the Saturday. This will be the last shoot of the season so lets make it a good one.

Due to the conditions we are going to have to reschedule the Newbury round of the HFT winter league.

With the winter HRS season nearing it’s close and the CSFTA Winter league about to start the events calendar has been updated to reflect the start times. Please aim to be at the venues early enough to give your rifle a quick test and get signed in.

The cost for the Winter league has gone up to £3 a session. We have 3 teams this year and the club is paying the entry fees.

There will be a club shoot in the woods next Sunday 9th September.

There will be 12 targets, 24 shots targets from 8 to 45 yards.

You can shoot it to HFT (or HRS), or FT  rules.

The short course should allow room for visitors, and “experts” will be on hand to offer advice.

Depending on time taken you can shoot twice.

Setting up will be from 8 o’clock and we plan to start shooting by 10 o’clock.

The normal club facilities will be available for zeroing before the shoot.

Your help with packing up will be welcome.

Unfortunately we lack sponsors so no prizes!

That time of the year is on us again. Shooting season.

So this year there are 2 leagues running HRS run by Bicester Target (http://hrs-rules.co.uk/ ) and the usual CSFTA HFT competition( http://www.csfta.co.uk/ ) There is enough interest in HRS for at least one team, but if you want a second team let me know as soon as possible. The two leagues don’t clash, with HRS finishing on the 2nd Dec and the CSFTA HFT starting on the 9th Dec. (If you want to shoot the CSFTA FT league that starts on the 21st October)

I will be gathering interest in the CSFTA winter league in the coming weeks.
