This is a new round 5 now at Bisley as the Wendover round has moved.
The final round of the CSFTA winter league has changed from the 27th March (mothers day) to the 17th April (Easter Sunday)
There is a late addition of a new round at Bisley on the 27th March.
Please remember that Newbury is hosting the CSFTA HFT round this Sunday (16th Jan). The range will be closed to club use.
Good luck to all competitors.
Paul Nicholls is about to run a 6 yard pistol competition which you can shoot at home or at the range, and score it yourself (inward gauging i.e. hole touches line higher score given). The competition will run from the end of January till the end of March.
To enter email Paul asap. Cards will be provided, (NSRA 6 yard pistol) you will be able to collect these from the club range as soon as the Post Office find enough staff to deliver them (should have come today) hopefully by Monday.
The competition will be in two stages :-
Stage 1 Each shooter will shoot 10 cards, 10 shots on each for highest score..
Stage 2 Highest 4 scorers from stage 1 will go forward to a “league” stage of 2 cards of 10 shots each with 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw to find the winner.
If you want to shoot this but cannot collect cards at the range they can be posted to you if you give Paul your postal address when you email your entry to him. Paul will forward addresses to me so I can post the cards.
AGM is on Sunday 26th at 10am.
Fees will be due.
Great news, the CSFTA have announced the dates for this years winter league. So if you are into FT or HFT and want to shoot this season, keep an eye out for information about who to contact to get on a team.
The dates of the shoots are on the events page.
I’m pleased to inform everyone that the club is back up and running. Members can return to using the range as per normal, but please be aware of your distancing when you are on the benches and there are no drink facilities available still.
I will be sending out an email to the people who have expressed and interest in joining the club over the lockdown period. Please be patient while I organise visits.
I hope you have survived so far and will continue to do so.
Currently from the 29th March we can start shooting again, with restrictions the same as before the latest lockdown, that is with a maximum of six people present. The first club day will be Sunday 4th April.
You MUST reserve a shooting slot by texting Dave Kirby so that the number of shooters can be controlled. If there is high demand then we will run a “shift” system with some shooting from 09:00 to 11:00 and others from 11:00 to 13:00 say, so be ready for this.
There is sanitizer at the club. The tea/coffee making at the club is not available, if you want refreshment you must bring your own.
Please remember the 2 meter rule while at the club.
New Rules to allow shooting
In order to shoot you must arrange a booking, for after 5:30pm during the week or for Sunday, by texting Pete Terry so that numbers can be controlled.
There can be NO visitors.
We are not accepting new members at this time.
You MUST maintain 2 meter distance from each other.
If you have to wait at the range, you are asked to wait in your car.
You are asked to wear face coverings.
There can only be one shooter at a bench at a time.
There can only be one person using the pistol range at any given time.
Beverages will not be available from the club, you must bring your own drink and cup.
You must understand that going to the club will involve some risk and that is YOUR risk.
Just a reminder the AGM is today, 11:00 at the club. Come along and have a say in how your club operates.
